Mrs. Betty F. Worthington Adair, age 95, of Cedartown passed away Monday, March 30, 2009. She was born July 5, 1913 in Polk County to parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Worthington.

She was a dedicated member of Cedartown Congregational Holiness Church being, at the time of her passing, the oldest member. She was a beloved Sunday School teacher for many, many years.

Mrs. Betty Adair is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Florine and Marvin Williams and daughter, Joyce Roberts; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Wilma Adair. Ten Grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two great-great Grandchildren also survive.

She is preceded in death by Husband, Vester Lee Adair; Father, Herman Worthington; Mother, Celestia Norris Worthington; a number of brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.

The funeral for Mrs. Betty F. Worthington Adair will be conducted on Wednesday, April 1st at 2:00 p.m. at the Cedartown Congregational Holiness Church, Furnace St., Cedartown. Rev. Doug Studdard and Rev. Wayne Smith will officiate. Mr. Kenny Adair, Mrs. Donna Truett, and Mrs. Kim Benefield will provide music at the service.

The interment will be in Polk Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday, April 1st, from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers are Jimmy Williams, Michael Williams, Kenny Adair, Darrell Adair, Leslie Roberts, and Tony Mitchell. Great Grandsons will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mrs. Betty F. Worthington Adair.
